The fences have gone up around the construction area. They are absolutely necessary to protect people, especially children, from accidents There will be trenches dug, power lines exposed, equipment and material all around. There is no doubt that the fence and the construction will cause inconvenience for those who use the door which is closed, those who enter the undercroft for practice and lessons, and especially those families that use the area as a shortcut between the grade school and the neighborhood on the north side of the church.
To pick up kids on the north side of 12 Mile Road, a possible alternative would be the new parking lot on 12 Mile Road. Those who are walking will have to add a few steps and go around the front of the church. It is good exercise. Keep in mind, it is only temporary.
