This past Wednesday, youth participating in the Motor City Mission Trip program visited the Shrine for pilgrimage and a day of service. They began with Mass said by Fr. John, which both the adults and youth named as their favorite part of the day. This was followed by a tour of the Basilica, where they learned about the unique beauty of our parish. Afterwards, they packed 400 Camp essential kits for Camp Ozanam, a service coordinated by our pastoral associate, Paula Dixon! Supplies were donated by Shrine parishioners and complete with personal cards made by the teens. Finally, the teens participated in a scavenger hunt led by our youth minister, Brennan McHugh. The teens loved the scavenger hunt and many of them shared that this was a highlight of their day! Read more about this program here.
