"I will spend my heaven doing good on earth. I will let fall a shower of roses." -St. Thérèse
Nominations for the Little Way Award are being accepted.
The phrase “the little way” of St. Thérèse captures an image of her understanding about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, one who seeks a holiness in life in the ordinary and the everyday. St. Thérèse translated “the little way” in terms of commitment to simple everyday tasks and the people she encountered each day. Therese’s spirituality is of doing the ordinary, with extraordinary love, living each day with an unshakable confidence in God’s love. “What matters in life,” she wrote, “is not great deeds, but great love.”
Nominations and induction may be posthumously awarded. Please submit the following to support your nominee’s consideration for selection. Include a narrative of no more than two (2) pages that details your reasons that this candidate should be recognized as a recipient of the ‘Little Way’ Award.’ Submit no more than an additional three (3) pages of supporting documentation which may include: letters of support, biographical information, awards, examples of their involvement and support of the National Shrine of the Little Flower and/or Catholic Church, etc.
